SETUP PROCEDURE FOR ETHERNET COMMUNICATION
This chapter covers the steps for getting the Ethernet Cradle online and working.
Required information
Hardware address
You need to know the units hardware address (also known as MAC address) which is on the
product label. It is in the format: 00-20-4a-XX-XX-XX, where the XXs are unique numbers
assigned to the product.
IP Address
Your Ethernet cradle must have an unique IP address on the network. Your system
administrator generally provides the IP address, subnet mask and gateway address.
The IP address must be within a valid range, unique to your network, and in the same
subnet as your PC.
The default IP address of the Ethernet Cradle is:
IP Address: 192.168.2.1
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Internal Webserver
The Ethernet Cradle provides an internal Web – Server to access the configuration
interface. To assign an IP Address or to setup special configuration according to your
application, you can use a Web Browser.
Setup the IP address of your PC to be in the same IP range as the Ethernet Cradle.
Then open your web browser and enter the following Address:
http://192.168.2.1
