Calibrating the Digital Indicator
11.1
Calibrate Chip Removal
First of all, it is necessary to check whether calibration of the chip removal is required. To do this, move the
infeed table all the way up to the stop using the button for the electrical height adjustment. The digital display
should indicate “
0.0 mm
”. If not (see
Figure 29) If not, the unit must be recalibrated.

Press button “
ESC
” for approx. 5 seconds.
The mask shown in the figure above appears.

Press button
repeatedly until the “
Zero point
”
tab (as shown in the picture above) is activated.

Then press the rightmost button “
Enter
”.

The mask shown in the picture above appears
with the arrow symbol
in the upper left corner.

If the angle symbol

appears here, then switch
over with the button
until the
symbol ap-
pears in the upper left corner.
In the example above, the display for chip re-
moval has been misadjusted by 1.9 mm. The val-
ue is to be reset to 0.0 mm by the calibration
process.

Press the rightmost button “
Enter
”.
The mask shown in the figure above appears.
7.
The code
007440
must now be entered here. Use
button
to select the respective digit and then
set the desired number with button
.
8.
After entering the code
007440
, press the “
Enter
”
button 3 times.
9.
Then press the “
ESC
” button 2 x to complete the
process
The unit is now calibrated
10.
The start screen now displays
0.0 mm
.
