HELPFUL HINTS
Every Specto projector is carefully checked before it leaves the factory, and it
will give you efficient service if used according to the instructions. However,
experience has shown us that should the following troubles occur they may be
due to simple and easily avoidable causes.
Projector will not run at desired speed, motor overheats.
Rewind lever has not been returned to "Normal."
Lamp lights intermittently
Voltage tapping screw insufficiently screwed home
Lamp fails to light.
May be the above, or lamp burnt out.
Film will not enter the gate
Failure to raise film release lever
Scratch on 9.5mm. dual pressure plate.
Film rewound with film release lever raised causing pressure plate to foul claw.
The claw mechanism (all friction surfaces
and spring lever pivot, Fig. 3) should be
cleaned periodically and fresh grease
applied. Great care should be taken to
avoid splashing oil on the surfaces of the
sprockets, roller guides, or any part with
which the film comes into contact. These
parts should be carefully wiped after
general lubrication.
