The full spool is pressed on the upper spool nose (J) with the film leader
drawing from the front of the spool (see Fig. 1A).
An empty take-up spool is placed on the lower spool nose (R) in the same
manner.
Draw out about 2ft. of film from the top spool and thread it edgeways into the
projector, following the path shown in Fig. 1 and IA. To thread the film
through the gate turn the film release lever (Y) up. This retracts the pressure
plate sufficiently to allow the film to he inserted.
Make sure the film is properly positioned in the film track before turning the
film release lever down. The claw withdrawal lever (X), when fitted, must he in
the raised position.
