INSTRUCTIONS
The three-pin plug supplied with the projector should be attached to a flex of
suitable length. One pin, over which is engraved "E," is for an earth
connection.
Before connecting the three-pin plug to the projector check that the voltage
selector (T) on the base corresponds with the mains supply. If in doubt of the
supply, voltage this will usually be found marked on the electric supply
meter.
For 200, 220, and 240 volts mains, one screw should be set at the
corresponding number on the voltage tapping plate and the other screw at
―0."
For 210, 230, and 250 volts one screw should be set at the nearest lower
number and the other at ―+10." The correct setting at 230 volts is illustrated
as a guide. Ensure that the tapping screw is screwed home firmly otherwise
the lamp may fail to light.
The Specto ―500" is suitable for use on either Alternating Current (A.C.) or
Direct Current (D.C.). The motor is normally wired for 200-250 volts, whilst
an internal resistance reduces the voltage of the lamp circuit to 115 volts.
Certain export models may be built to conform to local requirements, in
which case the voltage selector will indicate suitable voltages.
