Turn On/Off the Power of the Unit
Turn on the power of the unit

Insert the power plug to an outlet.
120 V AC 60 Hz, for NTSC model
220 V - 240 V AC 50 Hz for PAL model
Note:
Make sure the power source matches the power requirement of the model in use.

Turn on the POWER switch on the rear of the unit.
The OPERATE indicator will light and the system check (checking the system and hard disk) will start.
Note:
The following indicators will blink in the process of startup.
• Mirroring indicator (MIRROR)
• Timer indicator (TIMER)
• Recording indicator (REC)
• Alarm suspension indicator (ALARM SUSPEND)
Turn off the power of the unit

Stop the recording currently being performed.
Select "OFF" for "Recording" of "Basic Setup" of "System" on the setup menu to stop the recording currently being per-
formed. (Refer to the setup instructions (PDF) for further information.)
When images are currently being played, stop playback.
Click the [STOP] button displayed when the "HDD" tab is selected. (Refer to the setup instructions (PDF) for further
information.)
Note:
It is necessary to start recording after the power is turned on when recording had been stopped before turning off the
power of the unit.

Turn off the POWER switch on the rear of the unit.
Turn off the power of the unit after confirming that all the HDD access indicators are off. The OPERATE indicator will go
off.
Important:
• Detach the plug from the outlet if not operating the unit for a length of time.
• When the unit has not been used for a certain period, turn on the power of the unit (approximately once a week), and per-
form recording/playback to prevent interferences with functions.
