Mirroring indicator (MIRROR)
Indicates the status of the mirroring mode. Refer to the
operating instructions (PDF) for further information
about the mirroring function.
Lights green when the unit is in the mirroring mode.
Blinks green when the unit is in the process of the data
recovery.
When the indicator lights red, the following is indicated
(only when the unit is in the mirroring mode).
• One of the hard disks became faulty
• Only one hard disk is mounted (One hard disk is not
mounted/installed.)
• No hard disk is mounted/installed

Error indicator (ERROR)
Blinks red when an error occurs that may cause the
system to go down.
Blinks orange when an error occurs that will not keep
the unit from running. (e.g. thermal error, cooling fan
malfunction, etc.)

USE button (with the indicator)
Hold down the button for 2 seconds or more to turn
on/off the power of the hard disk.
Lights green when the power of the hard disk is on.
Blinks orange when the unit is mounting the hard disk,
or when the hard disk is in the process of shutdown.
Blinks green when the mounted hard disk is unformat-
ted.
Lights orange when recording is being performed.
Blinks red when the disk replacement warning is being
issued.
Lights red when the disk space is running out.
Refer to the setup instructions (PDF) for further informa-
tion about the disk replacement warning and running
out of the disk space.
The indicator will go off when the power of the hard disk
is off.

FORMAT button (with the indicator)
Hold down the button for 5 seconds or more to format
the hard disk.
The button will light green when formatting of the hard
disk starts (until the formatting of the hard disk is com-
plete).
The button will light red when formatting of the hard
disk or the mirrored data recovery failed.

Write protection indicator
Indicates the status of the write protection. Lights green
when the write protection is on.

Maintenance port
Use this port to connect directly with a PC and perform
maintenance operations. (For servicing purpose only)
Note:
When connecting with a PC, use the straight cable.
