Water is drained

 Is the drain hose bent or fl attened?
• If water keeps running, it may cause malfunction. Also It can
not electrolysis correctly.

Sound and buzzer
A buzzer does not
beep while weak
acidic water or acidic
water is used.
 Has “Weak acidic buzzer” been set to OFF? (P. EN32)
Sounds are heard
from the unit
after the faucet has been
turned off
 A clicking sound may be heard from the main unit before water is
drained.
(This is not a malfunction)
Odor
, taste, turbidness, and change in color
The water produced by
the Alkaline Ionizer has
an odor or unpleasant
taste or is turbid
 Purifi cation performance of the cartridge is deteriorated.
→ Replace the cartridge. (P. EN30)
 If an odor occurs within 2 to 3 months after the cartridge is replaced,
the water discharge line or waste water line may be soiled.
→ Press the Acidic button, and run weak acidic water for approx. 15 seconds.
The smell at the
beginning of use of
water concerns me.
 Since water is accumulated inside the main unit for 10 minutes after
Alkaline level 1 to 3 and Purifi ed are used, there are rare cases
where some people are sensitive to the smell of the main unit.
→ If the smell concerns you, after a buzzer beeps, run water for a while
before using.
The weak acidic
water has an odor
 Electrolysis causes the chlorine ions in the water to collect in
weak acidic water, forming hypochlorous acid.
→ There’s no problem if you use it as is.
White suspended
matter is mixed in with
the alkaline ion water
 White fl oating matter is calcium deposited inside the main unit.
 Foam-like fl oating matter is the air inside the main unit or
hydrogen foam generated during electrolysis.
(There’s no problem if you use it as is.)
• This foam tends to be much generated after installation or
cartridge replacement.
• In the case of weak acidic water, oxygen foam is generated.
Alkaline ion water or
purifi ed water looks
shiny.
 It is due to the precipitation of the components (mainly minerals)
which are dissolved in the water.
→ There’s no problem if you use it as is. But if it bothers you, use the
Alkaline Ionizer at a reduced pH (ion concentration) level.
