5.1.3. HOW TO WATCH THE TV WITHOUT THE HDD AND HDR MAIN C.B.A.

The unit works as a TV after removing the HDD and the HDR Main C.B.A.
When both the HDD and the HDR Main C.B.A. are removed, be sure to disconnect all cables from the
HDD (2 Cables) and the HDR Main C.B.A. (9 Cables).
<circuit description>
When disconnecting the Cable between the Connector P6502 on the Main C.B.A. and the Connector
P9704 on the HDR Main C.B.A., the SUB MICROCONTROLLER (IC6502) on the Main C.B.A. detects it
and the unit works as a TV. (When High at IC6502 pin 52, the unit work as a TV. When Low at IC6502
pin52, the unit work as a HDR.)
How to select TV CH in this condition:
(This is different from normal HDR operation.)

1. To select TV or CABLE mode, select the desired mode in ANTENNA of

SET UP TV menu by pressing the ACTION key on the remote.

2. Press the desired Number key (2 digits) on the remote.

Note:

- To select CH 100 and above, press CH UP/DOWN key on the remote any

number of times.

- CH DELETE is NOT functional in this condition.

5.1.4. BEFORE REPLACING THE HDR MAIN C.B.A

Before replacing the HDR Main C.B.A., verify that the Unit Serial Number that you confirmed when
ordering the HDR Main C.B.A. agrees with the Unit Serial Number on the label of the Rear Cover at the
user’s location.

5.1.5. AFTER REPLACING THE HDD

After replacing the HDD at the user’s location, be sure to perform QuickSetup at the user’s location.
Then, confirm that the unit operates properly.

5.1.6. HOW TO RESET THE HDR COMBINATION

When the TV/HDR Combination does not respond or the screen is frozen, press and hold INPUT and
CH DOWN buttons on the front of the TV/HDR Combination together for 10 seconds. The TV/HDR
Combination will restart in a few moments.

5.1.7. USAGE SCREEN MODE

Function displayed on the TV monitor:

- the total elapsed "Power on" time (in hours)
- the total elapsed "HDD active" time (in hours)
- the total elapsed "Fan locked" time (in hours).
1. With power turned on, press ACTION key on the remote.

The SET UP TV menu will be displayed on the TV Monitor.

2. In SET UP TV menu, press STOP button on the unit for more than 10

seconds.
The USAGE SCREEN will be displayed on the TV Monitor.
