No Video on the TV monitor and/
or No Audio from the Speaker.

OR

Block noise is displayed on the 
TV monitor.

OR

Abnormal picture is displayed on 
the  TV monitor.

When attempting to connect  to 
the ReplayTV Service, the
following error messages is 
displayed on the TV monitor:

A phone call is made to the 
ReplayTV Service during 
QuickSetup, each night 
automatically, and by selecting
"Keep all settings" of "Change 
Dialing & Input Settings" in 
Setup of menu.

If the communication  is made 
successfully, "Connection 
established" is displayed on the TV
monitor.

<Error message>
 "No dial tone"
 "Line was busy, dialing again"
 "No answer, dialing again"
 "No response from modem"
 "No response code from modem"
 "Unexpected response from modem"

Can not control the CH of Cable 
Box or DSS Receiver by using 
the IR Blaster.

Possible Solution

Change to BYPASS mode by pressing BYPASS button and confirm that the picture is 
being displayed on the TV monitor and the audio can be heard from the speaker.

Confirm that there is the dial tone on the line by hooking up a phone to it and 
listening for the dial tone.

Confirm that the correct telephone prefix number has been selected by selecting "Change
Telephone" of "Change Dialing & Input Settings" in "Setup" menu. 

Select the correct telephone number by selecting "Change Telephone" of "Change 
Dialing & Input Settings" in "Setup" menu. 

Main C.B.A. is defective. Repair Main C.B.A.

NG

HDR Main C.B.A. is defective. Replace HDR Main C.B.A.

Change to BYPASS mode by pressing BYPASS button and 
confirm that the audio can be heard from the speaker.

Press ACTION key on the remote control to display the set 
up TV screen and confirm speaker is set to ON.

Confirm that the Setup has been carried out properly. (Set up code of Cable Box or
DSS Receiver) If not, carry out the Setup properly.

In rare cases: Power Supply C.B.A. is defective.
Check conductivity of line between P1502 connector and JK1501 (IR BLASTER PORT) on 
Power Supply C.B.A. (There is a 100 ohm resistor. (R1517))
Repair or replace as necessary.

Confirm that the IR Blaster is securely affixed to the external devices(Cable Box or
DSS Receiver) If not, affix it securely. 

HDR Main C.B.A. maybe defective. Replace HDR Main C.B.A.

OK

Main C.B.A. is defective. Repair Main C.B.A.

Connect the telephone code to Telephone jack
securely.

In rare cases: Power Supply C.B.A. may be defective. 
Check conductivity of line P1506 and JK1504 (TEL LINE JACK) on Power Supply 
C.B.A. (There is a D1528. (Surge absorber with fuse)) Replace as necessary. 

Confirm that the Connector cable between P9026 on HDR Main C.B.A. and
P1506 on Power Supply C.B.A. is not broken wire.
If NG, replace it.

Turn off the unit power, unplug the AC Power Plug, wait approx. one minute, then plug in 
the AC Power Plug and turn on the unit again by pressing the Power button on the unit or 
remote control. Connect to the ReplayTV Service again by selecting "Keep all settings" of 
"Change Dialing & Input Settings" in Setup of menu.
