The number of input points and number of output points for the S-LINK are specified using the MODE
switch.
The number can be selected as shown in the table below.

No. 1, No. 7 and No. D cannot be used. If they are set, an error (E34: I/O status error) occurs in the
control unit.

I/O numbers are determined based on the position of the slot used for installation.

If the MODE switch is changed during the operation, an error occurs in the FP

The contents of the settings for No. 9 and No. F are the same (either one may be selected).
