Advanced (Playback)

[PLAYBACK] Mode:

Playing Back Motion Pictures

• This unit was designed to play motion pictures using the QuickTime Motion JPEG and

AVCHD Lite formats that were taken with this model (only).

• Only [AVCHD Lite] motion pictures recorded with this unit and Panasonic digital cameras

(LUMIX) can be played back with this unit as AVCHD Lite format.

Operations performed during Motion Picture Playback

The cursor displayed during playback is the same as

Play/Pause

Stop

Fast rewind, Frame-by-frame rewind

Fast forward, Frame-by-frame forward

These operations can be performed only in the Pause Mode.

Reduce volume level

Increase volume level

• About fast forward/rewind playback

– Press

during playback to fast forward (press

to rewind). The fast forward/rewind speed

increases if you press

again. (The display on the screen changes from

– Press

to resume normal playback speed.

– When using a high capacity card, it is possible that fast rewinding may be slower than usual.

Note

• Sound can be heard through the speaker. Refer to [VOLUME]

(P31)

for information about how

to adjust the volume in the [SETUP] menu.

• To play back the motion pictures recorded by this unit on a PC, use the “QuickTime” or the

“PHOTOfunSTUDIO 5.0 HD Edition” software on the CD-ROM (supplied).

• QuickTime Motion JPEG motion pictures that were recorded with a PC or other equipment may

have lower image quality or may not be able to play back with this unit.

• Be careful not to block the speaker in the bottom of the camera during playback.

time is displayed on the upper right of the

screen.

For example, 8 minutes and 30 seconds is

is not displayed for motion pictures recorded

in [AVCHD Lite].
