AUTO BRACKET
4
In one push of the shutter-release button, a series of pictures can be
taken in rapid succession with varying exposures.
The drive mode lever must be set to the Auto Bracket option. Burst Mode
must be activated for the camera to automatically take the series of pic-
tures. If Burst Mode is not activated, a manual push of the shutter-release
button will be required for each shot in the series.
The maximum number of pictures is determined by the selected expo-
sure and whether there is room on the allowable exposure scale to
bracket up or down.
Note: The exposure range selected will be based on the Exposure Com-
pensation setting. The command is not active during videos, Multi Film
Bracket, White Balance Bracket, or Aspect Bracket. Only one picture is
taken when the flash is activated.

ASPECT BRACKET
4
Pressing the shutter-release button once automatically takes four pic-
tures, one each with aspect ratios of 4:3, 3:2, 16:9, and 1:1.
Pictures with a size of [S] are increased to [M]. The Auto Review function-
ality is automatically activated. This command does not operate when
Quality is set to RAW. When Quality is set to RAW + JPEG, only JPEG pic-
tures are taken. The ASPECT BRACKET command does not operate during
video recording.
OFF
Aspect Bracket option is deactivated.
ON
Aspect Bracket option is activated. A set of four different color borders,
each representing one aspect ratio, are superimposed on the LCD screen.
SELF-TIMER
5
This command defines a set amount of time that will elapse between
when the shutter-release button is pushed and when the actual picture
is taken. This allows you to pose in the photo before the picture is taken.
It is available through the Quick Menu when the camera is in Intelligent
Auto Mode.
Note: Using a tripod is the best way to secure the camera. The flash is not
always properly synchronized with the 10-second delay/three pictures
option.
10-second delay between when the shutter-release button is pressed and
a single picture is taken.
10-second delay between when the shutter-release button is pressed
and a series of three pictures are taken at about two-second intervals.
Not available in Intelligent Auto Mode, White Balance Bracket, or Aspect
Bracket.
2-second delay between when the shutter-release button is pressed and a
single picture is taken.
COLOR SPACE
5
This command allows you to correct the picture’s color reproduction on a
computer, printer, etc. It gives you additional color options, depending on
the selected option.
Note: Saved files will include the selected color space value in the file
name.
sRBG
sRGB color space is typically used for computer-related equipment.
Note: This is the option value for videos.
AdobeRBG
AdobeRGB is typically used for business purposes, such as professional
printing, because it has a wider range of reproducible colors than sRGB.
