This command changes the angle of view during either motion picture or 
still picture recording.

Angle of view is changed to still picture.

Angle of view is changed to video.

REMAINING DISP.

This command displays either the remaining number of recordable 
pictures or the remaining video recording time. The selected option is 
reported on the display screen and is updated with each picture or sec-
ond of video recorded. The values reported are based on remaining mem-
ory card space, not remaining battery charge.

Displays estimated remaining number of single pictures that can be 
taken.

Displays estimated remaining amount of video time available.

TOUCH Q.MENU

This command controls the Touch Q.MENU option.

OFF

Disables the Touch Quick Menu option, and the Touch Quick Menu icon is 
not displayed on the LCD screen.

ON

Enables the Touch Quick Menu option, and the Touch Quick Menu icon is 
displayed on the LCD screen.

TOUCH SHUTTER

This command controls the Touch Shutter option.

OFF

Disables the Touch Shutter function, and the Touch Shutter icon is not dis-
played on the LCD screen.

ON

Enables the Touch Shutter function, and the Touch Shutter icon is dis-
played on the LCD screen.

TOUCH GUIDE

When playing back pictures and videos, this allows you to display the 
touch panel’s guide screen, which is displayed when you first press the 
Playback button. The guide screen displays information about how to 
navigate through playing back your pictures and videos on your LCD 
screen.

OFF

Disables the display of the Touch Guide screen when initiating playback 
of your pictures and videos.

ON

Enables the display of the Touch Guide screen when initiating playback of 
your pictures and videos.

TOUCH SCROLL

This allows you to set the speed of continuously scrolling forward or 
backward through your recorded pictures using the touch operations.

H

Sets the scrolling at high speed.

L

Sets the scrolling at low speed.

DIAL GUIDE

This command allows the operation switch guide information to be 
displayed during P, A, S, and M Modes in the lower-right corner of the 
display screen. The operation switch guide informs you of the rear dial 
functionality.

OFF

Disables the operation switch guide from displaying.

ON

Displays the operation switch guide when appropriate.

MENU RESUME

This command controls the camera’s capability of saving the last operated 
menu option, even if the camera had been turned off.

OFF

Camera will not remember the last operated menu option. When you 
enter the menu structure you will be positioned at the top Main Menu 
option’s first command.

ON

Camera remembers the last operated menu option even if the camera 
had been turned off. When you enter the menu structure, you will be 
positioned at the last operated menu option and command regardless of 
whether the camera had been turned off.

PIXEL REFRESH

7

This command performs an optimization of the imaging device and 
image processor. Use this command when bright spots not in the subject 
are recorded and you wish to correct it for future recordings.
