MEANING
PRINTED MESSAGE
CODE
When a problem has occurred, one of the following messages will be printed on the transmission report and
the journal report.
COMMUNICATION ERROR
DOCUMENT JAMMED
FILM EMPTY
JUNKMAIL PROH. REJECT
NO DOCUMENT
NO RESPONSE
PAPER JAMMED
PAPER OUT
PRESSED THE STOP KEY
PRINTER OVERHEATED
THE COVER WAS OPENED
A transmission or reception error occurred. Try again or check
the other party.
A document was jammed. Remove the jammed document (see
page 76).
Film is empty. Replace the film or film cartridge with a new one
(see page 78).
The junk mail prohibitor of your unit rejected fax reception (see
page 43).
The document was not fed into the unit properly. Try again.
The receiving unit was busy or ran out of recording paper. Try
again.
The recording paper was jammed. Clear the jammed paper (see
page 74).
Your unit ran out of recording paper. Install paper (see page 5).
The STOP button was pressed and fax communication was
cancelled.
Printer was overheated. Leave the unit to cool down.
The top cover was open. Close it and try again.
