WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) is a security protocol that provides the same
level of security for wireless networks as is used by wired networks.
WEP Key
: In the text box, type the WEP key, and from the drop-down list select
an encryption type.

to save your changes.

Repeater (Universal) Mode
NOTE:
The options in the main menu of the WAP-O3G change depending on the current
operating mode of the WAP-O3G. The main menu options discussed in this chapter are those
available in Repeater mode.
This is similar to WDS Mode; however, the WAP-O3G can associate with any Wireless Access Point,
as shown in the figure below.
Summary of configuration for Repeater Mode
1.
First setup the Wireless Access Point that that will be broadcasting the Wireless Network with
which you wish to associate the O3G. Setup as usual (i.e. SSID, IP Address, Channel, Security,
etc.)
2.
Connect the O3G to the LAN and login via your Web Browser.

Configure the O3G by selecting Repeater Mode from the Properties page under the System
header.
4.
Now configure the SSID, Channel, and Security settings to match those of the Wireless Access
Point.
5.
Finish the configuration of the O3G in Repeater Mode by assigning it a unique IP address if it is
not connected to a DHCP server.
