Safety rules during operation
WARNING – DANGER
A brushcutter can eject small stones, metal or other objects. It can also destroy
other items. Read these "safety rules during operation" carefully.
Read the user manual thoroughly and learn the functions and safe use of the
brushcutter. Make sure you know how to stop the engine and how to handle the
petrol safely. Learn to quickly fit the harness.
Never allow persons to use the brushcutter without having read the user manual.
Make sure the user is wearing the necessary safety equipment. Do not allow
bystanders, children and animals to enter the working area. Never allow children to
use, play with or be in the vicinity of the brushcutter.
Never allow other people to stay in the danger zone with you when you are using the
brushcutter. The danger zone has a radius of 15 metres. Insist that persons inside the
danger zone wear safety goggles.
Make it a routine to check that the cutting blade stops when the engine runs in idle.
WARNING – DANGER
Always wear protection for the head, eyes, ears, hands and feet. Approved safety
footwear ensures that you also have good footing in muddy areas. NEVER wear
laces, jewellery or loose-fitting clothes that can get caught in the brushcutter.
NEVER wear sandals or similar footwear. Do not use the brushcutter with bare toes
and legs.
