End  of  normal  charge:

when  the  above-mentioned  time  has  elapsed,  the

green  L3  LED

,  indicating

“BATTERY OK”, lights up.
Then an equalizing charge, if enabled (

CEQ jumper)

, takes place.

Pause

:  60min-long  charge  interruption  which  separates  the  end  of  normal  charge  and  the  beginning  of  the

equalizing charge.

Equalizing charge:

After  the  normal charge a pause will take place (

T.Pause = 60 min

) after which Equalizing will be performed

(for a

Teq time = 45h

).

Equalizing  is  made  up  of  a  certain  amount  (

Np=3

)  of  pulse  (

Neq=5

)  packages,  each  of  which  consists  of

charges (T.ON=12min) and pauses (T. OFF=48min).

The above mentioned pulse packages alternate with pauses (

Ts = 15h).

These pulses are performed during the

Active cycle (=45h)

, followed by a

Stop cycle (=120h)

This equalizing system has no time limits and stops on battery disconnection.
The  system  is  very  useful  during  holidays  and  week-ends,  since  it  makes  it  possible  to  keep  battery  charged
while preventing overcharging, overheating, and/or water consumption.

FLOATING CHARGE

At the end of a complete equalized charge cycle ( 45 hours ) if the battery remains connected (during holidays
for instance ) the equalization cycles are repeated every 120 hours (5 day )
This  cycle  of  charge,  that  compensates  the  battery  self–discharge  ,

is  repeated  until  the  user  remove  the

battery.

Warning

:

Before  disconnecting  the  battery,  check whether the charging process has been completed. If the
charging process is still being performed and needs being interrupted, press the ON-OFF button.

Never disconnect the battery connector before interrupting the charging process !

The charging process can be interrupted without disconnecting battery by pressing the ON-OFF button; in this
way charging times are stored and by pressing the ON button again, the charging process is resumed from the
point of interruption.

If battery is disconnected during a pause of the equalizing charge or after entering the OFF status by pressing
the  relevant  push-button,  the  battery  charger  will  reset  and  it  will  begin  a  new  charge  on  connecting  the  new
battery.
