Sharpening Safety Guard Knife Edge Blade
The safety guard knife edge blade can
become blunt over time. When you notice
this, undo the screw holding the blade on
the guard hood. Clamp the blade in a vise.
Sharpen the blade with a flat file and make
sure that the angle of the cutting edge is not
altered in the process. File in one direction
only.
Safety Guard
Remove all grass and weed remains at regular intervals to prevent the shaft
tube overheating. Grass and weed remains become trapped under the safety
guard, and they prevent the shaft tube receiving adequate ventilation.
