Appendix 1 Control Instructions for IP Cameras
Unit webpage
To access the webpage, enter the unit IP address into the browser address bar from a computer on
the same subnet.
Note:
To get the IP address from the camera for the first time, run an ONVIF devices discovery tool, IP
Installer or similar program on a computer which is directly connected to the camera through an
ethernet cable or connected to the same network as the camera. The program will allow to locate the
camera and set a static IP address for it if needed.
The login page will appear as shown in Figure 1. To access the main screen, write the correct Username
and Password and press “OK”. (If
it is the first log-in to the camera or a total factory reset has been
performed, Username and Password will be both the same: admin).

Note:
After first time connecting to the unit (or after a total factory reset being performed), the user
will be asked to change the password.
After successfully logging in, the main screen for the unit webpage will appear as shown on Figure 2.
This main screen allows the user to perform many different actions, such as:

Pan and tilt control: click the arrows to move the unit in the desire direction

Zoom control: click “+” to zoom in and “

“ to zoom out

Select between automatic or manual Focus mode

Focus and Iris control (if manual Focus mode selected)

Type of video streaming: user can choose between VLC or HTML5(MJPEG)

Pan/Tilt speed: the bigger the number, the faster the unit will move when using the pan/tilt
commands

Zoom speed: the bigger the number, the faster the unit will zoom in and out when using the
Zoom commands
