Maintenance
Warning:
Safe working practices must be followed when working with electricity or at
heights.
The PTZ unit does not require any routine maintenance.
Best performance will be maintained if the viewing window and exterior surfaces of the camera are
cleaned from time to time. Cleaning should be done using water and household detergents. No
solvents should be used.
It is good practice to check every 6 months to ensure that all fasteners are tight, all cable glands
secure and that conduits for cables have not been damaged.
The wiper blade should be checked for damage. Where used, the washer reservoir should be
topped-up.
11.1.
Replacing the Wiper Blade
If the wiper blade is worn or damaged it may be replaced as follows:
•
Holding the wiper arm firmly, remove the nut retaining the arm to the drive spindle.
•
Remove the washer and wiper arm carefully.
•
Remove the wiper blade by sliding it out of the retaining slot as shown in the picture
below.
•
Fit a new blade in the same way.
•
Fit the arm to the spindle taking care that the slot in the arm fits correctly over the
raised area on the drive hub.
•
Hold in place with the washer and nut. Tighten nut to secure whilst holding blade
securely.
