5.3 AI Function Block
AI function block calculates instantaneous flow rate output.
5.3.1 AI Function Block Configuration
(1)Parameter setting
1. CHANNEL
AI function block calculates based on measured values from transducer block. Select one from
VOLUME FLOW, MASS FLOW, DENSITY, or TEMPERATURE for CHANNEL (input selection)
parameter of AI function block.
2. L_TYPE
To output CHANNEL values without scaling, set "Direct" for L_TYPE parameter. To scale by converting
values to different range or unit, set "Indirect" instead.
3. XD_SCALE
If "Indirect" is set for L_TYPE parameter, configure sub-parameters of XD_SCALE such as EU_100,
EU_0, UNITS_INDEX(

), and DECIMAL according to scale of CHANNEL.

: For UNITS_INDEX, set the unit of measurement value configured for CHANNEL. (For example, if
MASS FLOW is set for CHANNEL, set the unit that is configured for MASS_FLOW_UNITS of
transducer block for XD_SCALE.)
4. OUT_SCALE
To convert values to different range or unit by setting "Indirect" for L_TYPE parameter, configure sub-
parameters of OUT_SCALE such as EU_100, EU_0, UNITS_INDEX, and DECIMAL.
5. Other parameters
As necessary, set parameters associated with output of AI function block such as LOW_CUT,
PV_FTIME, etc.
