1) Grease the selected Elastomer Plate.
2) Arch the Elastomer Plate slightly (Fig. 8) and place it between the rotational section (Fig. 7, Pos.
5) and the stop (Fig. 7, Pos. 6).
3) Press the Elastomer Plate against the inner surface of the housing until the Elastomer Plate lines
up with the rotational section (Fig. 9).
NOTE: Insertion of the Rotational Locking Plate, durometer EXTRA-HARD, is made easier during
assembly if the black Elastomer Insert is inserted last between the white rotational section and the
black locking section. Disassembly is made easier if the black Elastomer Insert is removed first.
4) Press the inner part of the housing up to the stop
5) Set the DeltaTwist on a clean surface and hold the housing with one hand. While that hand presses
the housing downwards so that the blue retaining screw can be reached, turn the blue retaining
screw clockwise with the other hand (Fig. 10).
6) Tighten the blue retaining screw hand tight (approx. 4 Nm).
7) Insert the Threaded Bushing with Inner Friction Bearing and tighten it to between 15-20 Nm with
the 709H4 Hook Wrench. To apply the correct torque use the Pyramid Receiver, as shown in Fig.
11, where a prosthetic foot is used as an example.
8) Reset the tension of the Elastomer Rod by turning the red tension screw (clockwise).Make sure not
to loosen the blue locking screw while doing this.
