LAMINATION INSTRUCTIONS
I.
Flatten distal end of Plaster Cast (9) to center Delrin Guide (6). Attach with nails
provided or double-sided tape maintaining
original pin alignment.
II. Apply inner PVA bag and tie it around neck (G) on Delrin Guide (6).
III. Trim away excess PVA and centrally locate Silicone Seal (5).
IV. Place Lock Body (3) onto Delrin Guide (6), ensuring its rotation allows for correct
positioning of Clutch Mechanism (7).
V. Secure Lock Body (3) and Pin Tunnel (2) with assembly bolt (1) (making sure that
o-ring is between bolt / Pin Tunnel and Pin Tunnel / Lock Body) using 5mm hexagon
key.
NOTE
: Be sure to tighten so that resin will not leak in between components.
VI. Place some clay in hole on bolt (A) and groove (B) on Dummy Screw (4).
VII. Tie half of lamination material into groove on Lock Body (C) and remainder over
end of Lock Body (D)
leaving Pin Tunnel (2) and bolt head (E) exposed.
VIII. Apply outer PVA bag and finish lamination.
IX. When curing has finished,
remove bolt (1), expose but do not remove Dummy Screw
(4.)
X. Prior to second lamination ensure that Pin Tunnel (2) is sealed.
XI. After completion of second lamination, expose and remove Dummy Screw (4).
XII. Insert and tighten Clutch Mechanism (7) to 15Nm (11ft.lb) -
VERY IMPORTANT.
NOTE: Push Button (8) may be shortened by unscrewing from lock body and cutting it
with hacksaw.
THERMOPLASTIC INSTRUCTIONS
I.
Flatten distal end of Plaster Cast (9) to center Delrin Guide (6). Attach with nails
provided or double-sided tape maintaining original pin alignment.
II. Place Lock Body (3) onto Delrin Guide (6), ensuring its rotation allows for correct
positioning of Clutch Mechanism (7).
III. Secure Lock Body (3) and Pin Tunnel (2) with assembly bolt (1) using a 5mm
hexagon key.
IV. Vacuum form thermoplastic, ensuring that plastic conforms well to Lock Body (3)
and Pin Tunnel (2).
V. Once plastic has cooled, trim around Pin Tunnel (2) and Dummy Screw (4).
IMPORTANT:
Before making outer socket, always ensure that assembly bolt (1) has been
removed and Pin Tunnel (2) resealed.
VI. After manufacture of outer socket, expose and remove Dummy Screw (4.)
VII. Insert and tighten the Clutch Mechanism (7) to 15Nm (11ft.lb) -
VERY IMPORTANT.
