7. DB B configuration program: ekor.gen
The ekor.gen Software is used to design and generate the
databases loaded in the ekor.ccp unit of remote-controlled
Transformer Substations.
To design the configuration, the types of cubicle forming
the substation and the communications protocol variables
are assigned to each of the signals to be remotely controlled.

7.1. Substation general configuration
To start configuring a new substation, select
“Substation
→
New”.
The parameters to be configured on this screen are as follows:
1. Name: The substation being designed is given a name.
2. Definition of the communications protocol between the
ekor.ccp unit and the dispatching centre:
a. If IP protocol is selected, communications with the
dispatching centre will be via one of the Ethernet ports.
By selecting this option, you must define the various
communication parameters: IP addresses of the remote
and the synchronism clocks, TCS.
b. If IP protocol is not selected, communications between
the dispatching centre and the ekor.ccp unit will be via
the RS232 port. The possible communications protocols
are primarily PID1, Sap20, Gestel.
