1.3.4. Slow test or capacity measurement
The unit has an automatic mechanism implemented, which
regularly carries out a battery capacity test.
The test consists of:
• The capacity supplied by the battery is measured until:
- The minimum capacity indicated in the standard
(cap_desc) is reached, in which case the test is
passed.
- The maximum time defined for each attempt (tlim_
prueba) is reached, in which case the test is passed.
- The voltage of the battery used to fail the test (v_fin)
drops, in which case:
- If not all the envisaged re-attempts have been
carried out (rein), the battery charges and a test
attempt starts.
- If all attempts have been made, the test is failed and
the "Battery failure" alarm is generated.
Whenever a battery test is failed, the "Battery failure" alarm
is generated and no more battery tests are carried out
until this alarm is recognised. The "Battery failure" alarm is
grouped within the "Urgent failure" digital output.
1.3.5. Fast test or Impedance measurement
The fast test or battery impedance test consists of subjecting
the battery to a specific consumption in order to determine
whether it is still in a good state.
The user can carry out the "battery test" whenever
considered necessary, provided the system is floating or in
constant voltage.
Start-up can be forced using the "Forced battery test"
button in the charger's web. The result of the test is
transmitted immediately to the outside via a potential-free
alarm contact ("Urgent Alarm").

In any case, this test is merely to indicate battery state.
If the result is that the battery is in a poor state, repeating
the test after charging for several hours and in floating
state is recommended, in order to ensure the battery was
correctly charged at the moment of the test.
