Please note!
To minimize the risk of interference do not position the base station in very close proximity
to other electrical equipment such as televisions, VDUs, other telephones, fans, etc. This
will minimize the risk of interference. Do not place the base station in areas where it will
be exposed to direct sunlight or other major heat sources. The recharging system used in
this model may result in the handset and batteries becoming warm. This is normal and will
not damage the equipment. Use original batteries only. The guarantee does not cover any
damage caused by the use of incorrect batteries
Battery
Fully charged batteries have a standby time of approximately 100 hours or a maximum
talk time of 10 hours (normal usage without speakerphone). Discharged batteries take
approx. 14 hours to recharge. These operating times apply at normal room temperature
and can vary.
Full battery capacity will be achieved once the batteries have been charged 4-5 times.
Once charging is completed the battery symbol on the display will show .
The telephone charging stands have an automatic charging mechanism that prevents the
batteries from being overcharged or damaged by prolonged charging.
The telephone is supplied with environmentally-friendly nickel metal hydride (NiMH)
batteries – 2 x AAA 1.2V. As with all batteries the performance may degrade over time,
should you notice that the talk and standby times are reduced considerably or there are
signs of leakage, the batteries should be replaced.
Please note!
When the telephone is installed for the first time, the batteries must be charged
for 24 hours before using. The recharge system used in this model may result in
the handset and batteries becoming warm. This is normal and will not damage the
equipment.
If your telephone is out of use for a lengthy period of time (more than 6 months)
remove the batteries from the handset(s).
Battery charge status display
When the battery charge is almost depleted, the icon appears on the handset display
and a warning signal is sounded. If the telephone is not returned to the charging stand
the handset will switch off automatically.
