Potential problems and solutions
Motor difficult to steer
•
Loosen the clamps used to adjust the height. Lubricate the collars.
Noisy motor
•
Verify that there is no trash on the propeller. Remove it, clean it and replace it.
•
Make sure that the propeller is sufficiently tight.
•
After removing the propeller, verify that the motor shaft is still straight. If it is not, contact ORANGEMARINE.
•
If the propeller is working properly, you can turn it by hand, and feel slight jolts from the motor magnets.
Abnormally fast battery discharge
•
Verify that there is no trash on the propeller. Remove it, clean it and replace it.
•
The battery can lose capacity due to intensive use.
•
Short circuit or bad connection. Contact ORANGEMARINE.
Opening the motor yourself will render the motor out of warranty.
Power loss
•
Verify that there is no trash on the propeller. Remove it, clean it and replace it.
•
Verify that there is no corrosion on the battery connectors. Clean them with a wire brush.
•
Battery nearly completely discharged. Recharge and verify its voltage and power.
•
It is possible that the motor carbon pins are at the end of their life (beyond 2 years after use). Contact ORANGEMARINE.
•
Water in the lower motor housing affects the lubrication of mechanical parts.
Opening the motor yourself will render the motor out of warranty.

The information below describes the content and implementation of the ORANGEMARINE electric motor warranty. If, after
reading this chapter, you still have questions, please contact ORANGEMARINE.
The warranty period is 24 months from the date of acquisition.
In the event of a defect found on an ORANGEMARINE electric motor and within the limits of the terms of the warranty,
ORANGEMARINE’s sole responsibility is limited to repairing or replacing the part found defective with a new or equivalent
part, without charge for the parts and labour involved.
