Tinsel/Colored foil print.
To perform tinsel/colored foil print, go to the SEND tab and set the
action parameter (fixed setting) to tinsel printing
–
tool for tinsel printing
(delicate).
You can also use the programmed material types or add your own material type -
enter the
name,
as in the example "Thermal transfer", set the parameters and save.
Additional settings
Depending on the type of material, you can set the tinsel/colored foil print speed and the
number of cycles.
Speed affects the quality of tinsel, however, it should be set as high as possible. If the quality
of tinsel/colored foil print is unsatisfactory, the speed should be reduced or the number of cy-
cles increased, then the device will repeat the tinsel printing
process again.
The force parameter should be set to the maximum position 33, however, due to the con-
struction of the head, it has no effect on the quality of tinsel printing
print. In case of prob-
lems with the print quality, you can also adjust the head temperature in addition to the plot-
ter parameters.
Tool selection
Use only tool 2 "blue pen". Selecting tool 1 "red pen" will cause the head to malfunction (it
will not press onto the material).
Warning!
In the plotter, a print head with a radius R = 0.75 mm is mounted as standard. Thicker print
heads R = 1 mm are also available, which may give better tinsel printing
print effects on some
materials. To replace the print head, turn off the heating (press and hold the down tempera-
ture button
the display will show off) or disconnect the power supply from the device and
wait for the
PRINT HEAD TO COOL DOWN. DANGER BURN POSSIBILITY
. Then remove the
print head cover (20) to get to the print head (19). Use a 0.9 mm Allen key to loosen the re-
taining screw, remove the print head and insert a new one and tighten the screw again
(gentally but firm). Replace the cover (20).
