AC7A/B User’s Guide
SETTING THE AC7A/B RS-232 JUMPERS
(FIRST GROUP - NEAR THE 25-PIN RS-232 CONNECTOR)
This group of jumpers is located right next to the DB-25 connector on the AC7A/B. The first 6 pins of the group are
labeled
PIN 2 OUT
,
PIN 3 IN
, and
PIN 2 IN
,
PIN 3 OUT
. The rest are labeled by the letters A through H.
This group of jumpers determine which pin on the DB-25 connector is used for transmitting data as well as routing
options for other pins. Detailed information about this is covered later in this manual in “Additonal Technical
Information”.
If you are using a standard straight-through cable to connect the AC7A/B to your PC, then set these jumpers as
shown below:

If you are using a
NULL
modem cable to connect the AC7A/B to your PC, you will need different jumper settings.
See Figures 2-7 and 2-8 for more details on null modem cables. The jumper settings for a
