Beech (Deciduous hardwood)
Working:
Both woods must be sawn and shaped
Joining:
Glue
Finishing:
Wax (liquid or solid)
Varnish (spray);
Stain (water soluable then varnish)
2.2. Material:
Depron; Thermoplastic;
Polysytrol-hard foam (PS);white
Working:
Cut with a modelling knife
Joining:
Use PVA or other non solvent glue
2.3. Material:
Tube (recycled paper
Card spiral wound
Working:
Cut to length with a fine saw, use PUK range or similar
Joining
Glue
Finish:
Varnish (spray);
Stain (water soluable then varnish)
2.4. Material:
Spring steel wire
Working:
Bend with combination pliers, cut to length with side cutters
Joining
Binding and glue

None necessary
3. Tools:
Sawing:
PUK saws (see cat) for small round stock and strip wood

Clamp all the work
Cutting:
Use a modelling knife

Take care when using sharp knives, use a safety ruler!!

Use a sanding block for all flat surfaces

Use combination pliers
