V. Advanced Configuration

If you used the Wizard to configure the On-Q DA1004 4 Port Router/Switch, you do NOT need to
configure anything else for you to start using the Internet.

Advanced configuration (using any of the selections to the right of the Wizard) allows you to configure
the router to meet your unique network’s needs such as:

Special Applications, Port Mapping, DMZ,

Virtual Servers, ALG, and Firewall option

.

A. System

Operations

This selection allows you to set the On-Q 4 Port Router/Switch’s system settings, password and
Remote Management Administrator. It also allows you to check system status and log, and
provides you the configuration tools.

Notice the System Status display (see

Figure 12

) provides you with system information in three

areas, the Internet (WAN info), Gateway (Router connection info) and Information (Router
hardware/software info).
