Error Display
Cause
Correction
Your soles are not in firm contact with the
electrodes.
Press your soles firmly to the electrodes, then
measure. (Refer to Section 5.)
The posture for measurement is wrong
or the soles are not in firm contact with
the electrodes.
Measure without moving the soles. (Refer to
Section 5.)
The soles are too dry.
Moisten the soles with a wet towel, then repeat
measurement.
Device error.
Insert the batteries again and repeat
measurement.
If this error still occurs, consult your OMRON
service representative.
You stepped on or moved the unit before
the display indicated “0.0 kg”.
Step on the unit after the display indicates
“0.0 kg”.
You moved your body while measuring
body weight.
Do not move while measuring body weight.
Your weight is more than 150 kg (330.0 lb).
Body weight of more than 150 kg (330.0 lb) is
out of the measuring range of this unit. You
cannot use this unit.

The displayed value of body
composition is abnormally high or low.
Refer to “Information on Body Composition”.
“- - - -” is displayed for some items of
the measurement results.
Values of body composition are out
of measurable range.
• Please ensure that birth date,
gender and height settings stored
as personal data are correct. (Refer
to Setting Items in Section 13.)
• The unit cannot measure body
composition outside its
measurement range, even if the
settings are correct.
The power turns off after the body
weight is confirmed and before your
body fat percentage, visceral fat level,
skeletal muscle percentage, BMI and
resting metabolism is measured.
You did not select the correct
personal profile number or the
GUEST mode. (The personal
profile number or “GUEST” is not
displayed on the display unit.)
Select the correct personal profile
number or the GUEST mode.
(Refer to Section 5.)
Nothing is displayed when the power
is turned on.
Batteries are not inserted.
Insert the batteries.
The polarities of batteries are not
aligned correctly.
Insert the batteries in correct
alignment.
The batteries are worn out.
Replace all four batteries with new
ones. (Refer to Section 2.)
Data cannot be sent.
(“Err” indicator lights.)
The destination device for the data
is too far away.
After checking that there are no
sources of interference nearby,
move the device to a distance
within 5 m of the unit.
Pairing (registering) has not been
completed.
Perform pairing (registration).

The application on the connected
device is not ready.
Check the application then try
sending the data again.
If the “Err” indicator still lights after
checking the application, contact
the service (support) center of the
application provider.
