Long Hauler Dog Harness
Kurgo’s Long Hauler Joring Harness allows your dog to use its body weight to pull you, without
hurting itself. The harness also helps your dog distinguish when to pull and when not to pull. Unlike
other competitors, Kurgo’s Long Hauler Joring Harness is modeled after dog sledding harnesses
rather than a running one, keeping your dog comfortable while taking advantage of your dog’s
maximum pull potential.
Harness Fitting
To fit, stat by releasing the grey and blue, side release buckles (B) so that the harness is fully open.
Place the dogs head through the opening of the harness. The crossed webbing should be on your dogs
back, and the Kurgo “Play” Label should sit against your dog’s chest. Reach between your dog’s legs
and bring the straps (A) up and attach using the grey and blue side release buckles (B). The straps can
be adjusted to fit your dog. Pull on the grey straps to tighten, or release to loosen. Once adjusted, any
extra grey webbing can be tucked back in to the small opening where the harness straps are located or
can be trimmed and the end melted with a lighter).
The grey strap on the back of the harness (C), secured with the red slide buckles and an 8mm rope (D)
is where the Tow Line attaches. This tether can be removed completely by sliding the red slide buckles
off the harness (E).
When not being used for joring activities, the harness can be used for hiking and walking, just note that
unlike a typical walking harness, the joring harness is designed to fit a little looser. The harness fits
closer to the dog’s body once the dog begins pulling forward.
