SETTING INTO OPERATION
Inserting Batteries into the Microphone and Remote Control
1
For operation, the microphone requires two 1.5 V AA batteries. Remove the microphone’s lower part
and insert two batteries as indicated in the compartment. With new batteries, the microphone can be
operated for approx. 13 hours.
2
The remote control of the audio player is supplied with a battery inserted. An
insulating foil between the battery and the battery contacts prevents the battery
from being discharged during storage. Prior to the first operation remove the
foil from the battery support on the rear side of the remote control. Otherwise
operation of the remote control is not possible.
If the range of the remote control decreases (3 meters as a maximum), replace the battery. For this
purpose, on the rear side of the remote control press the small bar with the groove to the right and at
the same time remove the battery support.
3
If the devices are not used for a longer period (approx. 1-2 weeks), please remove the batteries to
prevent damage in case of battery leakage. Please refer to further explanations in chapter Safety
Instructions.
Switching on the Amplifier and the Wireless Microphone
1
Insert the supplied antenna into the jack ANTENNA and put it in a vertical position.
2
Prior to switching on, turn down the master control MASTER LEVEL for the overall level to the left stop
position to avoid a possible switching-on noise.
3
First switch on the connected audio sources, then the PA system. The power indicator PWR lights up. If
the red battery indicator (LOW) lights during battery operation, the batteries must be charged. After
operation, switch off the PA system first.
4
Prior to operating the PA system off mains for the first time, the rechargeable batteries must be fully
charged (
→
7).
5
To switch on the microphone, set the sliding switch to the “ON” position. The battery indicator lights up
green. If it lights up red, new batteries must be inserted.
6
Switch on the receiver by turning the level control POWER-VOL from the left stop. Select the desired
transmission channel with the UP/DOWN buttons. The wireless transmission is made in the frequency
range of 863 - 865 MHz and is divided into the following 16 channels with preset frequencies:

The transmitter and the receiver must be set to the same frequency, otherwise signal transmission will
not be possible. Use different frequencies for the two receiver modules of model WAMS-10BT2.
As some frequencies may already be reserved by other users of wireless systems, we recommend
adjusting the desired frequency on the receiver before the transmitter is switched on. If the reception
indicator RF on the receiver lights up, a signal is received on this frequency. Thus a different frequency
should be selected in order to avoid interference.
