Troubleshooting
Particles (Powder) or liquids have been
in the sealing area of the bag.
The open end of the bag must be completely clean and dry for
making a good seal. Cut off the upper rim of the bag and wipe
clean the top of the bag. Perhaps, remove some material from the
bag to leave some more free space on the top of the bag.
Foods with high liquid contents prevent
the bag from being sealed properly,
because high amounts of liquid are
sucked in during evacuation.
Cut off the upper rim of the bag and wipe clean the top of the bag.
Perhaps, remove some material from the bag to leave some more
free space on the top of the bag.
Partially freeze foods with excess liquids prior to vacuum sealing. If
you can’t, place a folded paper towel between the food and the top
of the bag, but below seal area. Leave the paper towel in the bag
to absorb excess liquid. This way, during evacuation, liquids will not
be sucked out so easily.
