Choosing aperture (

is a shooting mode where you choose the aperture and let the camera
automatically adjust to the appropriate shutter speed. Rotale the mode dial to

.
• You can adjust the aperture by rotating the control dial
(

).
• After pressing the

button (

), you can also use

to choose the aperture.
• Larger apertures (lower F-numbers) decrease depth of
fi eld (the area in front of or behind the focus point that
appears to be in focus), softening background details.
Smaller apertures (higher F-numbers) increase depth
of fi eld.

• The aperture value at the moment when its indication blinks varies with the lens type and
focal length of the lens.
• When using a fi xed [ISO] setting, change the setting.
