4.13 DRAWER CIRCUIT
The drawer is activated by signal P130 provided by the CPU. This signal is normally Low, and goes High
to cause the drawer to open. When P130 is High, Q1 is on.
Current flows through the transistor causing the collector to be held Low, near ground potential.
4.13.1 DRAWER TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Drawer remains open.
Check the voltage at point (1) in the figure above:
•
If the reading is +5.0V, replace the mainboard.
•
If the reading is 0V, go to the following step.
Check the voltage at point (2) in the figure above:
•
If the reading is +30.0V, replace the drawer assy.
•
If the reading is 0V, check the power supply circuit.
Drawer remains closed.
Try to open the drawer by using the emergency lever on the bottom of the
drawer itself.
•
If the drawer opens, then it is not a mechanical problem. Check the voltage
at point (1) in the figure above.
•
If the drawer does not open, it is a mechanical problem and therefore
replace the drawer assy.
