4.15 BATTERY CIRCUIT

VBB is the battery or VCC voltage. The batteries are connected to CN12 through the three diodes D26, D27 and
D29. VBB goes to the CPU and external RAM for back-up voltage.

Voltage : 4.5V

4.15.1 BATTERY TROUBLESHOOTING

Before proceeding with battery troubleshooting, make sure that the backup batteries are properly

installed in the cash register.

Check the voltage of each battery (should be over 1.2V per battery).
