WHEN PAPER MISFEEDS
1. Open the front cover.
2. Tip the paper transfer section release lever to the right.
3. Turn the paper feed section knob in the direction of the arrow, to make the
misfed paper emerge.
4. Remove the misfed paper without tearing it.
* If the paper does tear, remove any scraps of torn paper from inside the copier.
* If the misfed paper can be removed up to this point, go to step 8. If not, go to
next step.
5. Press the paper transfer section release button to pull out the transfer section.
Caution: The drum (green) is highly sensitive to light and dirt. Be careful not to
expose it to strong light such as room lighting or not to touch the drum with
hands. Return the transfer section to the original position securely immediately
after removing misfed paper.
6. Remove the misfed paper without tearing it, lifting the transfer cover
a
in the
direction of the arrow (left).
Return the transfer cover to the original position.
WARNING
High voltage is present in the charger section. Take sufficient care
when working in this area, as there is a danger of electrical shock.
