Auto-calibration procedure may take 1-2 hours to complete; the average calibration time is
90 minutes.
Auto-Calibration will not be successful, if room temperature changes by more than 1°C during
the calibration time or if air draft blows directly on the heating device.
If room temperature changes by more than 1°C, you will not be able to achieve an accuracy in
the liquid of
±
0.3°C.
The Automatic calibration is completed when the H401-T-CONTROLLER displays the offset value of the
heating device, as shown in Figure 28.

Note 13
►
It is possible to use the touch screen while the calibration is ongoing. Once the calibration will
be completed the screen in will automatically appear regardless of the screen previously displayed
Once the
Self-calibration
is completed you can remove the T Sensor from the petri dish and start your
using the device.
Manual Calibration
This procedure allows to modify manually the temperature of the heating device under calibration and
until the temperature of the T sensor reaches the set point value. The manual procedure is usually less accurate
than the Automatic procedure, because it is operator dependent.
To start the manual calibration, follow the instructions below:
1
Make sure that the system has reached the steady state, i.e. the status indicator is green (see 8.1.2)
2
Press on
Manual
as shown in Figure 29
3
Insert the offset value clicking on
+
or
-
on the
Offset
tab as shown in Figure 30 to adjust the Device offset
value and press on
Save.
