Are the settings on the device side
of the used protocols (XPT, FTP, LPR)
enabled?
Enable the settings of the used
protocols.
The lpr printer name is
incorrect (when using the
LPR protocol).
Do the printer names on the host side
and device side match?
Set the correct printer name. (The
setting method differs between UNIX
and Windows. Check with the system
administrator.)
The ftp user name is
incorrect (when using the
FTP protocol).
Does the user name specified from the
host side match the user name set on
the device?
Use the correct user name, or change
the user name setting of the device.
The ftp password is
incorrect (when using the
FTP protocol).
Does the password specified from the
host side match the user name set
on the device (the user name is the
password on the device)?
Use the correct password, or change
the user name setting of the device.
The TCP port setting is
incorrect.
Do the TCP port addresses on the host
side and device side match?
Set the correct XPT port address.
The network settings
such as TCP protocol,
on the host side are
incorrect.
Check with the system administrator.
Set the host side correctly. (The setting
method differs between host devices.
Check with the system administrator.)

Is data sent after issuing the FTP
command (bin)?
Issue the bin command before sending
the data to the device. (However, with
some host devices, bin is not issued
even after setting the bin specification.
In such a case, set the setting on the
device side to bin fixed.)
