Enables or disables bi-directional
functionality of the parallel port.

Enables or disables ECP mode.

ACK WIDTH

NARROW

MEDIUM
WIDE

Sets width of ACK signal in compatible
receiving:
• Narrow = 0.5 µS
• Medium = 1.0 µS
• Wide = 3.0 µS

ACK/BUSY

TIMING

ACK IN
BUSY

ACK WHILE
BUSY

Sets the order in which the BUSY signal is
output.
• ACK IN BUSY = BUSY goes low at end

of ACK pules.

• ACK WHILE BUSY = BUSY goes low at

centre of ACK pulse.

I-PRIME

DISABLE

Sets the time interval to enable/disable
the I-PRIME signal.

RECEIVE

DISABLE

ENABLE

Enable = maintains reception without
changing the interface signal, even

pressed.
The interface issues a BUSY signal only
when the receive buffer is full.
