3.8.8 Replacing the Fan
The fan is located in the Top Housing. To access it, remove the Top Housing as
explained in Section 3.2. The follow these steps:
1. Turn the Heater Unit over and
remove the two screws that secure
the Fan Plate. (See Figure 3-30.)

4. Lift the Fan Plate and slide out the
cable grommets
– one each from the
left and right sides. (See Figure 3-31.)

5. Lift out the Lid Position Rod and
spring from under the Fan Plate.
(See Figure 3-32.)
6. Draw the cable connectors through
the holes in the housing and set them
aside.
Note: After reinstalling Lid Position Rod,
test its spring action when closing the
Heater Unit on the Top Housing.

7. Lift out the Fan. (See Figure 3-33.)
8. Gently press back on the Heater
Frame Housing, first on one side,
then on the other, to release it from
the Top Housing.
9. Install the replacement Fan by
following these steps in reverse. Figure 3-33. Removing the Fan.
