3.7 REPLACING THE LOAD CELL
1. Open the Housing as in Section 3.2; remove the Load Cell Cover, as in Section 3-3.
2. Remove the ribbon cable that
connects the two PCBs.
(Figure 3-14.)
3. Remove the four screws that
secure the Load Cell.
4. Carefully lift up the Load Cell
– not
all the way. (See next step.)
5. Hold the Load Cell with one hand
and gently lift out the ribbon cable
from the groove that secures it to
the Bottom Housing.
(See Figure 3-15.)
6. Lift out the Load Cell.

7. Disconnect the ribbon cable from
the old Load Cell, and connect it to
the replacement Load Cell.
8. Install the new Load Cell by
reversing the steps above.
9. Reassemble the Moisture Analyzer.
10. Install the Load Cell, using the
Software Service Tool . (See
Appendix B.)
11. Calibrate the Moisture Analyzer
(See Appendix A.) and Perform all
tests. (See Chapter 4.)
