Failure
Troubleshooting
Unit does not start when
switched on
• Check local power supply.
• Has the plug been inserted?
Unit does not get any oil
• Is there still any oil left in tank?
• Severe foam build-up in viewing glass. Has the suction pipe been checked
for tightness?
• Should foot or non-return valves be in the suction pipe, this may result in
pressure increase in the suction pipe due to thermal expansion. Please
remove foot and non-return valves or install a pressure balancing valve or
a diaphragm expansion vessel with oil-resistant membrane.
• Is the filter insert dirty?
• If required, replace it and also replace the O-ring of the filter cup.
Unit switches
• The pre-charge pressure of the diaphragm expansion vessel is not correct.
The pre-charge pressure should be approx. 1.5 bar for an unpressurised
system.
• If the pre-charge pressure is unstable, the expansion vessel is defective
and must be replaced (wear).

• Remove oil from the sump.

• Check pressurised pipes for leakage.
• Check total burner output, is the design of the unit sufficient?

• Thermal expansion.
• Release pressure and install additional expansion vessel.
• Check pressure transmitter.

• Is there a vacuum on the pressure side? – Remove vacuum.
• If pressure transmitter defective, replacement.
