UNICODE Workflow

Skip UNICODE conversion

The UNICODE conversion module of PRISMAspool allows the printing of UNICODE texts 
on PCL printers that are not UNICODE-enabled. However,

•

On one hand it is not necessary to activate the UNICODE conversion module when it 
is known that the file to be printed doesn't contain any UNICODE data

•

On the other hand some printers are able to print UNICODE data; in this case the con-
version module should not be used even if the file contains UNICODE data.

The way to avoid UNICODE conversion depends on the way the UNICODE conversion 
module is applied 

1. UNICODE conversion module applied at job submission time (IF-PRE-FILE):

The job has to be submitted using a form with the option "Skip UNICODE conversion"

In this case, PRISMAspool will not apply the UNICODE conversion module.
