Cleaning and maintenance
•
Always switch off the appliance and unplug before cleaning and
maintenance.
•
Never immerse the appliance or the cord in water or any other liquid.
•
Be sure that the water in the container has cooled off before cleaning.
•
Connect the discharge pipe to the water outlet at the back of the
appliance. Position the pipe in such a position that water runs into the
kitchen sink and next, open the tap by turning it to the ”OPEN” marking
to let the water run out. Never leave the water in the container for a long
period of time. Remember to close the tap, when all water has been
emptied, by turning the tap to the ”CLOSE” marking. If there is water left in
the container, pour it out by lifting and tilting the entire appliance over the
sink to let the water run out of the container.
•
Always keep the water inlet filter clean (a circular grate to the left of the
inner side of the container), use a brush for cleaning after each use.
•
Never pour anything but clean water in the container.
•
If a vacuum pouch breaks during cooking, the container must be thoroughly
cleaned. Do not drain water through the drain hole in such case, as
impurities may cause a clogging. In such case, lift the appliance and pour
the water into the kitchen sink. Use a soft cloth and some mild washing-up
liquid to clean the container.
•
Never use scratching detergents for cleaning.
•
The appliance and the detachable parts are not dishwasher safe.
•
Once a month (depending on how frequently the appliance is used), you
should perform a cleaning cycle of the appliance. Fill the container with
clean water above the MIN marking. Add some mild washing-up liquid (not
foamy) to the water and set the temperature at 40°C and the time at 20
minutes. After cleaning, empty the water through the drain pipe at the back
of the appliance (see previous instructions). Repeat if necessary.
•
Cleaning of lids: the transparent inner lid can be removed from the
underside of the outer lid by pressing the plastic tap and lifting the inner
lid outwards. The inner lid is dishwasher safe. Wipe off the outer lid with a
damp cloth. This lid is not dishwasher safe. After cleaning, click the inner lid
