7.2 Addressing via DMX
DMX (Digital Multiplex) is a standardised digital transmission protocol used in stage and event equipment
as well as in many Oase components.
7.3 Programming the unit
The DMX channel and the mode can be changed by means of the OASE DMX control unit. To this effect,
please read the control unit operating manual.

Start-up and operation are only possible with a DMX control unit.

The DMX protocol is used for signal transmission and spotlight control.

Channel assignment information for access of the LEDs
For the functions, the unit uses eight channels. The first DMX channel is defined with the the OASE DMX
control unit.
Channel Description Values
DMX-C 0 Access of the red LEDs 0 ... 255, Density of red LEDs
DMX-C 1 Access of the green LEDs 0 ... 255, Density of green LEDs
DMX-C 2 Access of the blue LEDs 0 ... 255, Density of blue LEDsc
DMX-C 3 Not used
DMX-C 4 Master, Access of the lumination of all RGB
channels 0 ... 255, Density of all LEDs
DMX-C 5 Not used
DMX-C 6 Not used
DMX-C 7 Access of the shutter 0 = Shutter closed
255 = Shutter opened
Please check the master value when you don't see the LEDs shining. The minimum value is at least 1
for the master (DMX-C 4) to see the LEDs shining.
