5.1 Connecting to the Internet
��ou can set up an Internet or a network connection to do activities such as browse the Internet or intranet,
send and receive emails and instant messages, and synchronise information using �ctiveSync�
�ith an active connection, you can browse the web, download e-mails, chat using MSN Messenger, or
synchronise wirelessly with the server� Check with your Internet Service Provider to see if a connection has
already been set up for you, and if over-the-air configuration is supported�
To connect to the Internet
On the �ome screen, press Start > Settings > Connections to launch the Connections screen�
Connections settings allow you to set up �ial-up, �irtual Private Network (�PN), Bluetooth, Proxy, and
General Packet �adio Service (GP�S) connections, so you can connect to the Internet or your corporate
network�
Dial-up connection
To create a Dial-up connection
�very network connection is different� ��ou should gather all the relevant information or network settings
before starting this process�
1� On the �ome screen, press
Start > Settings > Connections > Dial-up �
2� Press
Menu > Add
